Golf course builder, Barbaron, Inc. has completed numerous golf course projects from one hole renovations to new eighteen hole championship courses since its formation in 1987. Barbaron began in site development work at the Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. It was here they had the opportunity to show their ability to shape golf courses, and in 1988 the company became a specialized shaping subcontractor.
Following the company’s business plan for controlled growth, in 1992 Barbaron made the move to become a general golf course builder. The first project as a general builder brought the company back to Black Diamond for the first 9 holes of the Tom Fazio designed Ranch Course
Over the years it has been the company philosophy that excellence is the only acceptable standard for their work. The company always has at least one of its principals directly involved in each project. While Barbaron has continued to grow, its business plan has remained the same, to focus on quality and to become the best golf course builder in the industry. In 1999, Barbaron was voted the number two golf course builder in the United States by fellow architects, owners and superintendents. They feel the firm’s reputation was built on quality, and the number one goal is to keep that level of service and quality to the customer
After more than 20 years Barbaron continues to add some of the region's top courses to its growing list of completed projects.
